Your Big Backyard Drops the Your

Posted Aug 31, 2011

We got word a few days ago that the children’s magazine called “Your Big Backyard” has now shortened their name to only “Big Backyard”.

If you don’t have this magazine in your waiting room, you may want to give it try if your business caters to parents with young children ages 4 to 7.  It has tons of activities to keep them busy for at least 30 minutes. They do this by using friendly animal characters to help kids improve their reading and math skills. Add Big Backyard to your waiting area today!

Classic Car Collectors Connection

Posted Jun 6, 2011

Auto Roundup MagazineIf you have an eye for nostalgic beauty, especially when it comes to classic cars, then you will love our new additions to the EBSCO catalog.

We were recently authorized to carry three great bi-weekly titles that offer up an excellent menu of refurbished cars and trucks from private owners all over the US.  Pick your poison below.

Wow! There are some beautiful vehicles in these magazines, now if only I had the extra cash.  I know this is probably sacrilegious in the classic car world, but I've always wanted to buy an old Ford from the 40's, rip out the dash, then update it with modern electronics and new custom molded console.

There's something about the contrast between the past and present that would make the car so unique. It would be fun to watch people's reaction when they got in for a ride.

New Magazines Added to Catalog

Posted May 26, 2011

Over the past few weeks we have added several new titles to the catalog including several to the Spanish and Hispanic category, plus up and coming favorites like iPhone Life, Top Gear, and Life Extension Magazine.

We are currently working on expanding the Professional Journal category and the Financial and Business Magazine category.  I am also working on getting many of the regional Business Journals set up so be on the lookout for those very soon.

Up to this point I have used the past year’s worth of internal searches to come up with the current list of additions. However, please keep submitting your suggestions so that everyone may benefit from an expanded catalog.  Feel free to leave them in the comments or send a request via the contact us form.

New My Account Tools and Features

Posted Apr 25, 2011

If you get a chance sometime in the near future, login to your account and check out the new features we have added for you on the My Subscriptions, Transfer Subscriptions, and My Profile pages.

New EBSCO Magazine Subscription Management Tool

My Subscriptions now has an export feature that will allow you to export all your line items as a downloadable spreadsheet.  This is especially great for larger accounts with multiple locations.

New EBSCO Magazine Subscription Transfer Tool

Transfer Subscriptions now has a comment field, so that you can let us know if you would like us to match a better price and/or give us any additional information from your magazine address labels.  We have also added an Uploader mechanism that will allow you to send us your own larger list in Word or Excel.

New EBSCO Account Profile Tool

My Profile now allows you to add nicknames to your multiple addresses so that it is easier to remember your locations. Plus in our next upgrade, it will affect how you see your locations in the My Subscriptions table.

Also, take a minute to scroll down to the bottom of the My Profile page and update your delivery preferences. We now give you the opportunity to set your account so that you can get your renewal notices and invoices by mail or email or both. REMEMBER: If you like being environmentally conscious and choose email only, please make sure your email address is correct and up-to-date on the account so that you will receive your future renewal and invoice notices.

Highlighted New Search Features

Posted Apr 19, 2011

New EBSCO Search Features

The latest website upgrade gives you way better search capabilities.  Next to the search field at the top right corner of the page, you will now see ENHANCED SEARCH.  Click on this link to hone down your search by catagory, gender, age group and regional location.

We have also expanded the search tool for you; so now you can  find answers questions you might have in our FAQ. Plus you can also find related information about magazines (like the latest magazine promotion or if a title was discontinued) through all of our current and past blog posts. After you click the search button, you can click on each of the tabs to see the results from the catalog, FAQ or blog posts.

New EBSCO Expanded Search Features

We are in the process of expanding our catalog to include more esoteric titles, so please let me know the names of magazines you would like to see in the catalog and I will begin to add them into the system from our offline list.
